Men’s Summit

The theme of this years summit is contra mundum. It’s a latin phrase which means “against the world”. The church father Athanasius bravely defended the incarnation of Christ against the lies of Arius who was seeking to undermine the incarnation of Christ. When Athanasius was challenged as the lone defender of the incarnation he boldly responded that he would stand on truth even if he stood—contra mundum—against the world.

At this years Men’s Summit we will consider the depths of what it means to abide in Christ. We will examine the moral fortitude of men in the past who bravely stood against the world. And we will attempt to draw lessons for our own lives and situations in order to live a life that conforms to a vision of valor and virtue.
