RST | HE02 — Bibliology, Inspiration, Canon, and Analogy
Redemption School of Theology: Hermeneutics & Exegesis · Fall 2026
Class 2 · September 6, 2026 · Session B · Kevin R. Amundson
Second hour of opening night. Bibliology: inerrancy, canonicity, perspicuity, sufficiency, and the permanence of Scripture. 2 Timothy 3:16 frames inspiration as God-breathed through men by the Spirit, not a canon that pits the words of Jesus against the rest of the Bible. Canon as rule (measuring line). Analogy of Scripture vs. analogy of faith.
Key texts: 2 Timothy 3:16–17 · Isaiah 8:20
Outline
